“The Library” von Gecko

Deep in the tropics of North London some lizards are stirring!

I represent Bristol don’t represent anyone carrying a pistol unless they’re called John McClane
These times have gone insane, on with this game I write a song to explain
Rap style illogical, handwriting illegible
The snowman’s abominable my times inevitable
Fresh like fruit and vegetables, the beat and rhymes inseparable
You’ve seen the light, your face alone says it all
Put me on your pedestal like teenage mutant ninja turtles
It’s pivotal cause we made mutants into heroes
It’s clear though we could do with a hero
Spiderman kicking out Cameron like a real hero
Oh dear though, it’s not looking likely
So near though as long as it might be
It’s not all bad you know keep it tidy
And I may not change the world but maybe I could slightly

Cause if you want knowledge then go to the library
And if you want solitude then go to to the library
And if you want good internet then go to the library
And if you want a book, then go to the bookshop

Metaphor manipulator
Wordplay articulator
got a new ink cartage
and I just re filled the printer paper
If knowledge is power
How come Boris is powerful?
We’ve got a london mayor about as subtle as a power tool
I tried the museum but I got museum feet
And if you’re not getting a coffee then you’re not getting a seat
I tried university but it was 9000 pounds
I tried to find a library but they kept tearing them down
I went to the observatory but I couldn’t get a space
apparently you have to planet ahead, seems strange
I turned to the bank but i’ve never felt more a loan
The worlds my oyster card
Provided its off peak and within the zones
I wrote to the council, tried my local MP
But it all just got lost in a constituent sea
I searched the job centre but there wasn’t an entrance
I queued so long when i got there i was getting my pension

I mean to use the library more
using the libraries hard
should use the library sure
But i lost my library card
