Der folgende Film ist ein einzigartiges Zeitdokument und stammt aus dem Jahr 1966. Er steht im Netz so wie zahlreiche Filme des National Film and Sound Archive (NFSA) frei zur Verfügung. Es wird deutlich, welche Bibliothekenvielfalt in Australien schon damals existierte. Die Förderung der Mehrsprachigkeit zählt dort schon zu einer der vielen Aufgaben im öffentlichen Bibliothekswesen Australiens. Er wurde anläßlich des Weltbuchtages 2012 ins Netz gestellt. Dieser Weltbuchtag ist nicht zu verwechseln mit unserem Datum vom 23. April, sondern findet in den ehemaligen Ländern des Commonwealth wohl meist eher am ersten Donnerstag im Monat März statt.
